The patient was a 32-year-old mother of 3 Hispanic female presenting to the clinic with a request for a 360° liposuction including the upper and lower back. Examination showed that this patient had a moderate degree of excessive abdominal skin and fatty tissue primarily in the vertical direction and a 4 finger wide diastases recti. Given these findings, we strongly recommend that she undergo an abdominoplasty, but the patient insisted on a 360° liposuction. At surgery, 1.5 liters of fat removed from upper and lower back, 1.8 liters of fat removed from abdomen and flanks. Postoperatively, she has significant improvement of the back. Her abdomen still has the bulging due to diastasis recti. After photos were taken at 4 months post op visi. There was continued improvement in the appearance of the back as the skin of the back remodeled over the next 12 months after surgery. There is a significant skin contraction from 1 month postoperatively to 4 months postoperatively.
