This patient was a 41 year old Black female who presented with complaints of adiposity of the abdomen and flanks, depressions of the hips, known as “hip dips” and a bulging abdomen when she stood up. Examination was notable for a moderate degree of adiposity of the abdomen and flanks, a 3 finger diatasis recti, and a moderate pannus. At surgery a panniculectomy, a lipoabdominoplasty, and a double layer repair of the diastasis recti was done. A total of 1.4 liters was liposuctioned from the abdomen and flanks and 800 mls from the back. A total of 2.6 pounds of skin and fat were taking during the course of surgery. A 240 mls of fat was grafted into the left hip and 270 mls was grafted to the right hip. She lost total of 8 lbs after surgery. She droped 3 pant size. She is very happy with her result.
